While CES 2014 is just getting underway, we haven’t yet heard from Samsung officially, whom are said to be introducing a whole raft of tablets at this year’s event. Well, as we now know in the tech world, specs and such aren’rumored specs for the Galaxy Note 12.2 Pro and Tab 12.2 Pro, as well as the Tab 10.1 Pro and 8.4 Pro. As well as this, there are leaked images for the Galaxy Tab 8.4 Pro (as shown above) as well as the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Pro. Across the board,
these tablets all share common DNA and sport mostly the same specs, with only storage and battery sizes changing from model-to-model. All of the tablets will feature a Snapdragon 800 Pro clocked at roughly 2.3 Ghz and 2GB of RAM (3GB in the Galaxy Note and Tab 12.2 Pro), as well as a 2560 x 1600 resolution (regardless of size). WiFi versions are said to feature an Exynos 5 Octa CPU but, 3G and LTE variants will no doubt feature the aforementioned Snapdragon 800 inside. Both the Galaxy Note 12.2 Pro and the Galaxy Tab 12.2 Pro will come in 32/64 GB flavors and feature a 9,500 mAh battery. Going down the ladder to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Pro and there will 16/32 GB options with a 8,220 mAh battery, the same can be said for the Galaxy Tab 8.4 Pro but the battery size drops again to 4,800 mAh.
Unsurprisingly, these are all very high-end looking machines, borrowing DNA from both the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition. While these definitely “bring the specs” that many have been asking for, there are far more consumers out there that simply won’t pay such prices for the extra performance. This could particularly be a problem for the Galaxy Tab 8.4 Pro, with similar sized tablets on the market retailing for likely much less than Samsung will be charging. Needless to say, we should know more in the next day or so as it looks like Samsung has bought these guys to CES.
